Itouch Gen 2 hacked!!! And it works! I did it, I am so so so so so happy
iPod touch 2G finally jailbroken with NitroKey
The iPhone Dev Team hackers have been teasing their redsn0w iPod touch jailbreak for what seems like forever now, but those you tired of waiting might want to check out the just-released NitroKey Slipstream. The $15 software does its thing on the 2.2.1 firmware, and automatically installs Cydia for all that jailbroken app action you crave — including the new paid apps store. Windows-only for now, but there’s apparently a Mac version in the works — hopefully we’ll see the free redsn0w take the lead back on that front. Report back if you take the plunge, would you?

So I did pay $15 to have it unlocked, I honestly am very happy that I did it. I have access to openssh, and whole possibilities, I am no longer locket to Apple!!!!
Thank you NitroKey for doing this… I honestly hate apple for not letting people unlock their iphones or itouch devices, we end users should have ability to be FREE 
To do whatever we want with out devices, why apple should have all the controll over what we want to install or what we can install? Why limiting device to have 141 apps only? that is plain stupid if you ask me.. And where is cut&paste? Apple get your shit together, dont lock people in… let them have a choice…

it was not worth that wait!!!! I was waiting for so long for it to be broken that I had to have it right away… See I was looking for specific things that apple could not deliver somehow, now I have that what I was looking for and I am quite happy with it.

So I did update my ipod touch, one thing to keep in mind is the fact that all your data is going to be wiped out clean. I did not use recover option to restore data, which I think was a mistake, but slowly I am loading all the podcasts and music back into my itouch. Only thing that is breaking is that I have to many podcasts, itunes is loading only like few of them and then it somehow hers stuck, I am not sure if that USB driver that I’ve installed for hacking breaks or what but its ok, I just reconnect my itouch and it starts again in few seconds, so no big deal, just it will take me a bit longer to put my crap back into it. I am still very happy with this itouch gen 2 being broken.
