how to import cert from opsware into your browser
Recently I needed to connect my browser to my opsware port 1004 but I got problems with certificate. This is where I needed to connect to: opsware:1004/ but I was getting nowhere as certificates were not installed for it. Solution is simple. I had to go to my opsware core server to the following directory:
/var/opt/opsware/crypto/spin/
there are two files that I needed:
browser.p12 and spin-developer.p12
please be very carefull as spin-developer is quite powerfull and you can do a lot of damages with it.
Anyway bring those two files to your desktop.
open your internet explorer, select tools from the menu and chose internet options.
Next press on Content tab then on Certificates button.
On the next window press on Import button
Chose file that you downloaded from opsware core in here, so press on Browse then select spin-developer.p12 or if browser.p12. Spin-developer.p12 will give you much more and it is much more dangerous, so be warned.
Press next after you selected your cert to import.
Put password in. For me the passwort that work I took it from oiresponse file that I used to install opsware originally. In there I found %decrypt_passwd option and that is the password that did work for me with this certificate.
Now your certificate is imorted and to verify go to:
when it asks for certificate chose opsware certificate.
Hope this helps.
