I just recently got new Blackberry, installed desktop manager nad got an error that I was unable to synchronize anything because did not have internet. That was crap as I did have internet, just my firewall was blocking internet access for that application and thats it. Well this software should give you at least options. Why do I need to be connected to the internet to be able to sync my desktop with my BB? Ehh, anyway solution is simple hack where you need to run regedit and do the following:
1 Run REGEDIT
2 go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Synchronize\0x20fb1469 (this number be most likely different for you)
3 locate and double click “STATE”
4 Change the #1 to a #0 and your BB will sync without connecting to the internet.
Simple hack, wonder why they do this crap… To keep updated my software? Or just to control something where they know who is running what because every time they start the application they have to connect back trough the internet maybe?

Regular flu kills 34,000 each year just in the U.S. Yet, thanks to our media overblowing this, if swine flu kills just 3,000, it will be sheer panic and terror.
The GCC economies had been impervious to the global credit crisis for the better part of 12 months. While many people believed that the Middle East’s oil wealth would protect their economies from the crisis, these expectations have proved baseless. The falling equity values impaired sovereign wealth funds and lack of access to credit derailed numerous grandiose property development plans leaving some skylines littered with idle cranes. Economists predict the current conditions will stable and persist for the most of the remainder of the year. The end of this year (2009) through 2010, capital market conditions are expected to stabilize and improve. In this crisis no country is an island, as even Australia recognized its economy was in recession.
Virtually every market of the world has experienced sharp declines save for the one uncorrelated market that posted positive returns, the Tehran Stock Exchange. Enough said. The current situation finds the world economy trying to establish a base from which to grow supported by the most massive, concerted global government economic intervention in the history of the world. The bailouts and stimulus packages to date have targeted banks and countries and the auto industry. Yet as the unemployment percentage surges into double digit numbers, the consumer who was footing the tax bill will move from being a tax payer to recipient of tax benefits; credit card payments will laps, mortgages lost. The cascade downward will continue as more business will contract, more foreclosed houses in the market and higher credit hurdles and terms for new homeowners. The impact of a global shutdown due to swine flu could well trigger a cataclysmic economic freefall that even threatens the stability of longstanding democracies.
Given this backdrop, the question is, ‘what’s the best strategy to employ to capitalize on this economic imbroglio?’ The answer, my friend, is that ‘cash is king or queen if you prefer.’ Even with that, knowing which currencies to hold is also a critical analytical exercise. Several countries have individual private banks with outstanding notional debt that exceeds their country’s GDP! We recommend a basket of currencies that overweight natural resource backed economies such as Canada and Australia. Sometime next year, those patient investors holding cash will be plundering egregiously underpriced assets boasting global brands and predictable cash flows.

Harmful bacteria are those bacteria that may harm your body and immune system making you sick. The very common cause of the food borne illness in human beings is said to be due to the harmful bacteria. Bacteria are there on the food at the time you buy them. Raw foods, as they are not sterile are the very common source of food borne illnesses. When cooked food is left for about more than 2 hours allows the bacteria to multiply very fast.
Disease causing bacteria are referred to as pathogenic bacteria. These pathogenic bacteria can attack human beings, plants and animals. Thus the disease caused by such bacteria are very worst causing toothache, food poisoning, anthrax and some forms of cancer, as well. The harmful bacteria like septicemia, tetanus, pneumonia, impetigo, tonsillitis, earaches, step throat also causes a number of other diseases, etc.
There are some harmful bacteria that may even prove to be life threatening. For instance, the Legionella pnuemoniae that causes the Legionnaire’s disease. The bacteria, Vibrio cholerae is the cause of cholera. This harmful bacterium needs moist places like hot-water piper or air conditioners for their survival.
Many different types of harmful bacteria lead to food poisoning. Some of these harmful bacteria are:

So by now you’ve heard the unofficial results of the bank stress tests. Only ONE, that’s right, ONE bank out of the nineteen tested is in need of additional capital. SHOCKER!! I mean really, did anyone actually believe that the government would do more damage to the already-fragile banking system?
Last Friday, the government disclosed the measures that were used to test the banks. This Monday, the US markets opened lower. All of the talking heads will tell you that we opened lower because of the dangerous swine flu, but I find this to be a bit too convenient. Wag the Dog, anyone?

What You Can Do to Stay Healthy
There are everyday actions people can take to stay healthy.
* Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
* Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hands cleaners are also effective.

Almost everyone agrees that vaccination has been one of the single most effective public health measures ever undertaken however it still remains one of the most controversial issues facing medicine today. We will take a look at these controversies, attempting to dispel truly fallacious information and focusing on real issues of concern to families.
Once the efficacy of vaccines became established, governments rushed to both make vaccines available to the populace and to make vaccination compulsory in many cases. In the twentieth century, as immunizations for childhood diseases were developed, including diphtheria, measles, mumps and rubella, vaccination became required for public school attendance.
In 1974, the WHO launched the Expanded Programme on Immunization. Through their efforts the last naturally occurring case of smallpox in the world occurred in Somalia in 1977.
Governmental entities strive to immunize as many people as possible in order to reach “herd immunity”. Herd immunity takes place when enough people are vaccinated to substantially lower the likelihood that a susceptible person will come into contact with an infected person.

So South Africa is getting a new president, and it is probably the man that half of the country wants, while the other half of the country does not want him.
The criticism of this man has been as loud as the support for him. And both the support and the criticism ensured that enough energy was generated for his party to win, and probably for him to become president.
There have been lots of publicity covering the wishes of the followers of Mr Zuma, and also a group on the social website Facebook that wanted to get a million signatures against Mr Zuma.
How did this happen?

Preparing a Businesses Pandemic Plan
“Plans are nothing, planning is everything” – Dwight D Eisenhower
Suddenly, the word “pandemic” is everywhere. Businesses are nervously looking for ways to deal with the PANDEMIC. “It is just a matter of time!” warns Dr. Michael Osterholm, director of the University of Minnesota’s Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, of the forthcoming global flu pandemic.
The H1N1 Swine flu bears similarities to the H1N1 virus of the 1918-19 pandemic and has spread throughout the US and world. The World Health Organization has raised the warning level to Phase 5 – widespread human infection – one step below a full influenza pandemic, signaling that it’s time for all companies to prepare.
Quoting HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt, “Those expecting the federal government to ride in and come to their rescue are going to be sorely disappointed.” “Within 16 weeks of the theoretical Thai outbreak, 92 million Americans would be infected.” The 1918 pandemic killed more people in first 6 months of the pandemic than were killed in all of World War 1 – 5 out of every 100 people.

Bulletin: Mexico struck by 5.8 earthquake. More to follow.
The state department today issued a warning advising for all Americans to avoid all “non-essential” travel to Mexico out of concern for the swine flu outbreak. The United States today also launched border and airport screening for swine flu exposure.
In Lebanon yesterday Clinton said the government is taking the outbreak “very seriously,” though President Obama said the emerging cases are not a cause for alarm.
The number of confirmed swine flu cases in the United States is as many as 40 and rising. United States cases spanned New York, Kansas, California, Texas and Ohio. Many of those who contracted the illness had recently visited Mexico.
