Bravo you stinky MTA executives, you did it again. Not far ago MTA executives decided to save some $$$ on cleaning crew, so they cut, leaving dirty and filthy train stations and subways behind. A train for example not only uses old trains which are dirty but has one of the longest routes. Train when leaves Far Rockaway goes for over 1.5 hours to the very end, there is no cleaning crew, train goes back to Far Rockaway where maybe it will get cleaned. Niw with newest and even more stinkiest idea coming down from MTA executives is the removsl of trash cand from stations. How great, so many New Yorkers are already making it so filthy, there are so many pigs riding the trains, so rmoval of garbage cans will not help in any way to keep subways cleanner, actualy is the opposite, it will help to get subways dirtier and more stinky than ever. Great job stinky MTA executives!!! F- for the efotrt.

My iPhone 4s batery does run out so quickly, this is so insane I used to have iPhone 4 until I lost it, I had it jailbroken and I did drain it quite quickly because I was running stuff under the hood like webserver or sshd, but it never run out so quickly out of the power. so sad.

Yesterday I got my new iPhone, I could not be happier. I lost my old iPhone 4 in hurricane Irrene, missed it ever since. I had it jailbroken and unlocked, it was just perfect. This new iPhone 4S is identical and to be honest with you I do not even see much difference. I love the camera, huge improvement over what my old iPhone 4 had, now with 8mp, and colors its just perfect. SiRi? Well it sucks, well it uses my data any time I say, huge minus since those monopolistics wireless companies such as AT&T are charging for every byte, if it was unlimited maybe it could be fine. Also Siri does not understand what I am saying, probably because of my accent, so its useless. I asked Siri: find gas stations near by. It responded as there are no gay bars around, what the hell?!? Asked other things and this stupid siri has no clue what I am asking for. So for me this siri is just purely useless. Faster cpu? Well its ok, I dont see that much difference between this iPhone 4S and my old iPhone 4. Its great, dont get me wrong but I was very happy with the old phone. If I had iPhone 4 and I did not loose it I certainly would not upgrade it because of siri, only maybe for the camera maybe since I love to take photos with my iPhone.

So after 1.5 month I finally got my camera back. I am able to record video but there is no sound, well I can hear something from the recording but its so low that is almost nothing. I guess that was a very sensitive hole with the mic where water could get in a first place, so they blocked it virtually disabling my sound recording…

I do like overall design. But customer service and over all experience was not quite good. Lack of accessories and accessories being so expensive makes this camera quite not a good buy. After all this experience I did go and I got myself GoPro. So much happier even though the look and feel is not the same. But nothing beats that waterproof case in a package, nothing beats the sound recording which is not available any longer in my Replay XD 1080… On my GoPro I can see when I am recording, I can easily change settings without unscrewing the cap. I can go to config menu and configure it any way I like instead of editing text file and then putting it on the card. I can change date and it keeps it. My goodness, I am so unhappy with the Replay XD 1080 purchase as its so limited to what you can do. Design is certainly excellent, but execution, sales and technical tactics are not there to make it successful product unfortunately

MTA has bunch of idiots running it. So today NY got flodded by broken pipe, so what did MTA decided? Well they decided to run A trains as local trains, no express. Not only fewer trains were running but they took out all C trains and made all A trains local. Only freaking idiots with no brain or idiots with very small tiny brains would come out with such clever idea. Train stations were so pack that people could not fit in, trains were so so over crowded, people were fighting to get in and not even to get a seat on the trains. Pregnant women were crying, kids screaming. WTF!!! MTA you freaking stupid, you should all be fired crazy stupid idiots.

I received so many hits to my previous blog about newest Replay XD 1080 camera. Well I want to disappoint you just a little bit, my camera broke after not even a day. I did hook it up to my car, lower portion that I could record wheel movement and wanted to drive my Jeep Commander into the dirt road, there were some water spots, apparently water got inside the camera somehow and effectively damaged it. I did send it back to California, they will evaluate it and see if the damage was caused by manufacturing defect or me. If it was caused by me and my usage then I had quite expensive “rental” of this camera because it did cost me $299, plus shipping ($313), now return is another $20, wonder how much more will I need to pay.

Again, please do not consider me as bashing Replay XD 1080 camera, or trying to put a bad review for it, I am just expressing my experience and my feelings about it. I am one in hundred or thousand of all the owners of those cameras, I am not into that kind of videography so I don’t even have such experience with this or any other cameras, all I did was I looked at the Replay XD 1080 web page and I loved the video and I loved the idea of owning it and be ale to do something quite creative with it.

I own Canon 5D Mark II camera, which can record 1080p video, then I looked at Replay XD 1080 website and I did see that amazing looking video, then I thought that this Replay XD 1080 camera would be just perfect for me. I was looking at other options and they were quite expensive or not esthetically appealing, this had great price compared to others and quite appealing design.

I did want to record some action videos in HD, I was not going to use my Canon 5D Mark II, so this Replay XD 1080 was just perfect for me. I received it, the very next morning did hook it up to my Jeep and drove. I fortunately drove over some water spots on the road, water got in somehow and damaged my spunky brand new Replay XD 1080 camera making it unusable. Replay XD 1080 is certainly not water resistant or water prof, I am not even sure if it can be called water tight. On the website they had it at some point that you can take this Replay XD 1080 camera down 3 meters under water, I did not even submerged under water causing damages. When I did open both ends I did see traces of water inside, instantly I knew that this is not going to be good. I did try to dry it, put it inside a bag with silicone packing inserts but did not help. Screen got first blurry, then it was just light pink and now cant even turn camera on.

I don’t know, maybe I had to high of an expectation, but I am not to happy with Replay XD1080 camera.. Its small as far as the length is concerned, but its a bit bulky, no big deal though. It looks like those small LED flashlights except diameter is bigger. Aluminum body is solid and very cool looking also feels solid, but I don’t like buttons on top, they look very inexpensive one, not aligned properly, cheaply done, the same with micro SD slot, looks like its not 100% aligned and putting SD card in is a bit of a challenge. The thread on the aluminum case to put both ends back and forth is quite well done, so no issues putting those both ends on it.

I am disappointed with the mounts, they did run out of the stock mount so I got upgraded to some pro mount, but no instruction how to use it, has some pads and I cant stick it anywhere, not sure how to use it and not instructions to be found. Replayxd has quite a few options for mounts and other gadgets for your Replay XD1080, they are expensive though. They don’t have good description so its not easy for me to chose my option, and certainly lack of documentation is not helpful either. GoPro has great inexpensive case where you can take camera with you when you scuba dive up to 180 meters. Replay XD1080 says its water-tight, does it mean that its water prof? I did read someplace that you can take it down 3 meters under water, but is that for real? I was not able to find it on the website yet.

When I did receive my Replay XD1080 I did turn it on momentarily, then off and I was unable to turn it on again, I charged it but nothing. I had to put a pin into reset and try to figure out how to properly reset it, fortunately for me it did work and my camera started to work. I did record some video in the evening in my room and I was not happy about the quality. This is my first type of such camera so I was expecting to much, for example I was expecting taking video and photos at the same time, but apparently it does not seem like that is working so you have to chose video or photos not both at the same time.

Video quality? well certainly its not a low light camera, even in room lighting conditions video does not look good. On my way to work I did try to record when I walk, it was not easy to hold it so the video would be horizontally, not sure how would that work if you trying to connect it to your helmet, how difficult it will be not to move it or record properly. the other cameras are not round, so you have some reference points, you can only go by the top buttons and or having ability to see on display what you record might produce some unwanted footage (Please don’t get me wrong you can carry some HDMI monitor with you and see display, just not practical if you doing some exciting sports).
